Certification body in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17065 (W.S. cert)

As a certification body for products, processes and services in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17065, we conduct conformity assessments of non-destructive testing processes in railway maintenance under the NDT RAILWAY certification scheme.

Certification is confirmation by an independent and competent third party that products (e.g. welds), processes (e.g. manufacturing processes), systems (e.g. management systems) or persons (e.g. non-destructive testing personnel) meet the requirements of the relevant standards. Confirmation of conformity is preceded by an evaluation, followed by a decision made by a person who was not involved in the evaluation process. Certification is usually subject to regular surveillance throughout its period of validity.

Certification is, by its nature, a matter of trust. The certification body confirms that the organisation seeking certification meets the specified requirements. This trust extends to the certified organisation and its products, as well as its customers, partners and other interested parties. The certification body itself must also earn that trust. EN ISO/IEC 17065 therefore places very high demands on its competence, objectivity and independence.
