Planning and organisation

Vocational training in a metalworking occupation or technical training provides an ideal foundation for course participation. However, participation is also possible without a particular school qualification or vocational training if you are interested in technical matters and have a basic knowledge of mathematics and physics.

You may not have studied in a classroom for a long time and may be concerned that learning will be difficult. We are happy to support you beyond the daily course hours and offer additional advice on organising and learning the material.

As our courses, tests and examinations are conducted in German, you should have a good command of written and spoken German. For non-destructive testing methods, adequate vision in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9712 is required. We can provide the necessary forms on request.

Classes start at 08:00 on weekdays and finish at 16:45 (eight hours of training plus breaks). On examination days (Friday/Saturday), classes finish at 15:45.

Training times are based on DIN EN ISO 9712, and classes normally take place in our training rooms in Essen.

Radiographic testing courses (RT F) take place at the DGZfP training centre in Dortmund.

There are numerous government funding options for professional continuing education, further education and qualification – both for companies and their employees and for individuals.

Many of our courses are eligible for funding through an education voucher from the employment agency or Jobcenter, or through pension and accident insurers, employers’ liability insurance associations and employment transfer companies.

Training time is divided approximately equally between theoretical instruction and practical exercises. Daily tests and detailed discussion of the results support learning through intensive revision of the material. We provide training materials such as course notes and presentations, and these are included in the course fees.

Drinks are available free of charge during breaks. Lunch is available at the “Kanne Lohni” bistro at Triple-Z (at your own expense).

Invoicing takes place before the course starts. Examination certificates are issued once full payment has been received.

Each course concludes with an examination consisting of a theoretical and a practical part. The examination takes place on the final day of the course. After completing the course, you will receive a certificate of participation from us.

If you pass the examination, you will also receive a qualification certificate from W.S. Werkstoff Service or, for courses in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9712, from DGZfP (the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing).

Personal protective equipment is required for practical classes. Safety shoes and clothing that covers the body are mandatory. Depending on the inspection method (when working with acids or strongly coloured testing agents), a protective coat or similar clothing is recommended.
