Are you looking for expert support in performing conformity assessments for your products? Do you need to conduct failure analysis for metallic materials or components, including the preparation of expert reports? Do you need assistance during audits, initial sample inspections or supplier qualifications? Do you have to solve technical material problems related to products and processes?
Our specialists and the experts at our accredited inspection body (ISO/IEC 17020) are here to answer any questions about materials technology, materials testing and materials selection.
We offer the following services in our ExpertCenter:
What is a conformity assessment?
A conformity assessment is a decision (based on an assessment, audit, inspection …) as to whether, for example, a product or process complies with a norm, specification, or general requirement.
What is an inspection in the sense of ISO/IEC 17020?
An inspection is the investigation, for example, of designs, products or processes and the subsequent decision as to whether they comply with specific requirements (norms, specifications) or general requirements (expert evaluation).
What is failure analysis in the sense of ISO/IEC 17020?
Failure analysis is essentially a form of inspection. The question for this inspection changes from “Does this product conform with a requirement?” to “Why does the product not conform with a requirement? How did the error or defect that resulted in the non-conformity arise?”.
Our DAKKS accreditation guarantees that our conformity assessments, inspection activities and failure analyses meet the highest quality standards. Benefit from the experience and specialist competence of the experts working in our inspection body and our engineers.
We will help you to perform inspections, failure analyses and engineering services in the area of materials technology.
